You really don’t need to do this; it seems this ain’t the right job for you, even for once per year. I see you are sweet girl probably lacking a bit (but a just a bit) of self esteem, stripping is not for a princess Come on, focus on your other jobs, forget the money and leave the stripping job aside. One should do what he likes to do, and f***k all the rest.
Even if that means losing money. I always made like this and never accepted compromises, and, guess what, at least i live and I am FREE.
In any case, I always think that one should focus on what he can do best and leave aside what he can’t do very good. Doing the contrary, just lead to failures and defeats.

If it helps any…. my friends and I never ask girls for lap dances that don’t offer first. I mean, we’re already being pervy, we try not to cross any further boundaries? We figure that if she wanted to she’d offer, and that she probably isn’t offering for a reason.

And if you’re still friendly when guys turn you down they’re still going to think of you as a decent person. Unless they’re jaded and angry (like some commenters here sound) in which case there’s no helping them =P

i know how you feel. i was like that when i started stripping.. i would talk to people so much. but now i talk to people…you can usually tell if they have money after talking to them for like 5 mins. most people will ask you how the dances work and how much they are. if youve been talking for a while and they dont show signs of buying a dance, just be polite and say im really sorry but would you mind if i walk around for a while. most will say yes and understand that its your job and you have to make money. usually thats the point where people will say oh ok well ill get a dance from you…once youv done the dance tell them youre going to freshen up and then come back out and find someone else.
i am not the best hustler. i get shy talking to guys. so i just get a few drinks in me..pick out some awesome songs to dance to and have fun on stage, go up to the people sat on the stage and give them lots of attention for tips….i make 90% of my dances by giving tippers at the stage all my attention rubbing my boobs in their face… flooor work is waaay more money getting than fancy pole work.
asians love me…most of my money come from asians. i just get crazy with them and tell them theyre cute. and they always ask for dances.

It is a shame that I don’t live close to you. You are exactly the kind of dancer I hope to find in a club on the times I do actually go. The ‘evil stripper power’ types turn me off … I absolutely love when a woman is a great conversationalist and I can spend most of the night just talking. I gladly pay just for the time, they don’t even have to dance if they don’t want to, but I know sitting just talking is part of their valuable time at work, so I always try to compensate dancers for that when I am fortunate enough to spend an evening chatting away. You truly have nothing to be intimidated about … you are a rare gem Ashlee … those who know you are better because of it.

In a lot of other states, you’re allowed to touch the girls (except in one obvious place); I reckon a lot of guys would struggle with that a lot more than just normal stripping.
